From reports and my own experiences, perimeter bars are more affordable for those who are on a tight budget. Although the perimeter bars are more homely, the staff and girls are more on the friendly side. The bars on the main strip on fields avenue has some of the more high priced bars with the tier like pricing system. Perimeter bars are and some of the bars some of of fields avenue are smaller and are not as crowded as the bigger heavy hitter bars.

So low end to high-end, sometimes the little bars are high-end to budget conscience people and sometimes you get allot more personal entertainment
